We had a very exciting but rather small visitor to Year One a couple of days ago. One of us found a snail in the playground after some heavy rain and, since our current topic is animals, she wanted to bring him (or her!) inside to talk about it. It was great fun to see the snail slithering across the table, and to think about where snails might like to live, what they might eat (and which animals might eat them!), and why they have their beautiful shells.
